¶ Beam Calculation
¶ What is it?
With beam calculation you can check the resulting forces of a horizontal beam under various vertical loads and support positions. The function "check" provides you the option to do verifications according to Eurocode.
¶ Toolbar Options
¶ Top
- Force: Adds a vertical force to the beam model
- Support: Adds supports to the model
- Clear: Removes all elements from the model to reset your design
- Beam Settings: In this window, you can enter the lifting load and frequent use factor (EN 17115) values
¶ Bottom
- Show Bending: Displays the bending moment diagram with values.
- Show Shear: Displays the shear force diagram.
- Show Verification : Provides access to detailed verification calculations. This feature is available by subscription.
¶ How to Use
Click the force button to add a new force. Then tap the force to edit position. You can add as many forces as you want.
Click the support button to add a support. You can move the support to your desired position.
The remove button is located next to the support button. Use it to delete all elements.
Here, you can enter the lifting factor and frequent use factor according to EN 17115 standards.

Use the show bending button to view the bending diagram and related data.
Use the show shear button to view the diagram and related data.
- Use the cross-section feature to change the type of category and its corresponding cross-section.
- Use the show check button to view description of verification.
